As a Technologist in the R&D division, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to global and Irish companies — identifying genuine R&D projects, helping shape strong applications for public support, and ensuring proposals meet commercial and innovation criteria. This role blends technical credibility, strategic influence, and cross-sector insight.

What You’ll Do

• Engage with companies to identify AI and tech-led R&D opportunities.
• Assess project feasibility and alignment with innovation grants.
• Guide clients in crafting high-impact proposals — providing technical and strategic input.
• Challenge, advise, and collaborate across multiple sectors (life sciences, engineering, digital).
• Influence national innovation strategy, contributing to the evolution of Ireland’s tech ecosystem.
• Collaborate with research centres and government partners to enable cross-sector innovation.

What You’ll Bring

• A strong STEM background (Level 8+, ideally with a Master’s or PhD)
• Demonstrated AI expertise, preferably across multiple domains
• Experience in industry-facing roles (e.g. consultancy, tech transfer, collaborative R&D)
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for a range of audiences
• Confidence to challenge proposals and suggest improvements
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and client relationship skills
