(Senior) IT Project Manager (m/f/d)

Job description:

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a diverse range of ICT projects, spanning environmental and non-environmental systems, infrastructure upgrades, and the implementation of off-the-shelf software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT projects, including scoping, planning, scheduling, execution, and closure.
• Ensure compliance with the project management standards for risk, quality, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager and cross-functional teams to prioritise tasks and resources effectively.
• Contribute to business requirements gathering and support the in-house Scrum team in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, milestones, risk assessments, and deliverables.
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support the rollout and improvement of project methodologies.
• Prepare clear, concise reports on project status, issues, delays, corrective actions, and outcomes.
• Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Must Have:

• Minimum of 8 years' experience managing ICT projects with demonstrable success.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to scope.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Understanding and practical application of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to lead risk, quality, and progress monitoring.
• Experience working within a team, including Portfolio Managers and technical staff.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with business requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
• Expertise in maintaining project documentation, including schedules and risk plans.
• Capable of identifying deliverables, dependencies, and quality assurance standards.
• Skilled in generating detailed project status and final reports, including justifications for scope or timeline changes.
• Ability to support the continuous improvement of project management frameworks.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the Environmental sector.
• Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP).
