🧠 Node.js Developer – Lisbon / Full Remote

HumanIT is looking for a Node.js Developer to join an exciting project in the digital telecommunications sector, contributing directly to the sales platform of a leading international company.

🧩 The Challenge

You will be part of a collaborative and skilled tech team focused on backend development using Node.js, building robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions. The project involves the development and maintenance of RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations.

🔧 Tech Stack

• Node.js
• Express.js or NestJS
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Relational & non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
• Docker, Kubernetes (nice to have)
• CI/CD and DevOps practices (nice to have)

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services.
• Design and optimize RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product teams.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Contribute to the team’s continuous improvement in an Agile/Scrum environment.

📍 Location & Work Model

• Full remote from Portugal – candidates based in Lisbon are preferred (for occasional in-person meetings).

🎯 What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Node.js.
• Solid knowledge of Express.js, NestJS, or TSOA.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good knowledge of web application security and API best practices.
• A proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
• English proficiency (B2 or higher) is required.
