Job Description:

This role with a medical organisation based in Dublin have a vacancy for a Head of HR. This role will have responsibility for leading and developing the Human Resources function and will report to the CEO and Senior Leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Human Resource function
• Support the CEO, Senior Management and Heads of Department through the development and implementation of best practices in Human Resources Management.
• Review, update, and maintain Human Resources policies and procedures to reflect the Hospital’s needs, ensuring alignment with legislation and policy.
• Review and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the efficient and effective administration of the Human Resource function.
• Review and implement best practices on Recruitment and Selection to meet the immediate and future staffing requirements
• Oversee the ongoing implementation of the Performance Achievement process and ensure all external reporting requirements are carried out.
• Manage Employee/Industrial Relations including union negotiations/staff consultations from local to WRC level.
• Ensure mandatory and non-mandatory training requirements and records are maintained, and that appropriate training is provided.

Requirements:

• Be educated to at least Degree level (Human Resource Management or related discipline).
• Have a minimum of five years’ experience at senior level in a Human Resource department.
• Experience in Healthcare or medical field is an advantage.
• Have strong leadership skills with significant experience leading large teams.
• Experience of preparing and drafting correspondence, contracts, reports, and minutes in a timely manner to a high standard.
• Be able to successfully manage a range of different projects and work activities concurrently, and assign work to others as appropriate to meet strict deadlines.
• Be able to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders and to achieve results through collaborative work.
