Project Manager
As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest financial organisations, I am seeking for a Project Manager for a 8 months+ contract in Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
The role consists of half project manager duties and half PMO duties, with some duties certainly overlapping.
Project manager activities:
- Analysis and advice on various Operational readiness issues. Concerns short-term projects that require a short deep dive or that need to be realized in the short term.
- Draws up a plan of action for various issues and, in collaboration with those involved, independently carries out the assignment.
- Maintains control over the planning and is accountable to the client to ensure that the project is carried out within the set quality, time and budget.
PMO activities;
- PMO lead role: provides integrated planning of PMO activities and ensures operational management of the other (two) PMOs (including work distribution, prioritization, etc.)
- Ensures the integrity of OpR data/updates in various reports/systems.
- Facilitates meetings: team meetings, project consultations, etc.
- Fulfils a senior and substantive PMO role in the Go-live Control team during the go-live period of raising funds: manages go-live issue log and action list, dashboard, signals bottlenecks in progress, etc.
Experience:
- Pro-activity: identifying issues that are not going well in a timely manner and, above all, making proposals about which activities need to be addressed in the coming period.
- Helicopter view: ensures coherence within PMO activities and ensures dependencies with other initiatives in project activities.
- Execution power: this role requires a high pace of delivering deliverables, especially during the go-live period, this is on a daily basis.
- Attention to detail: not only working accurately, but also being able to extract the most relevant points from large amounts of information.
- Quickly master content: has the skills to quickly master the subject and context to a certain substantive level
- Excellent written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills/style flexibility: can switch well between different levels of employees within the company
- Planning and organizing: prepares and facilitates various meetings so that the intended goal/result is realized. Creates feasible and clear schedules.
- Advisory skills: after analysis, formulates an advisory report and ensures that this is a supported advisory report.
