Information Technology Support Specialist

Are you ready for a new challenge in the trading sector? We’re seeking a tech-savvy, proactive Senior Service Desk Analyst who thrives on user interaction and continuous learning.


In this role, you’ll provide technical support as part of the Service Desk team, working closely with local business users—especially VIPs—to understand and anticipate their tech needs. You’ll build strong relationships with Geneva-based staff and take ownership of high-priority issues.


Reporting to the Global Service Desk Manager, you’ll support a wide range of users, combining excellent soft skills with a passion for technology.


Main Responsibilities

  • IT Support: Provided daily IT support for over 1,000 users, including trading floor support and handling IT team requests.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Delivered support for Microsoft environments (Windows, Office 365, Intune) and trading platforms (Bloomberg, Eikon, ICE).
  • User Assistance: Responded to requests via email, phone, and in person; trained users on PC and phone usage.
  • Service Now: Managed and tracked IT requests using Service Now.
  • Hardware and Software Knowledge: Supported Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and computer hardware.
  • Documentation: Created and maintained IT documentation.
  • Headquarters Support: Provided Level 1 & 2 support for Mercuria and external collaborators, maintained user devices, and managed laptop loans.
  • Meeting Support: Supported internal and external meetings with video conferencing and hardware setup.
  • Stock Management: Managed IT stock and iOS devices.


Profile/Desired Competencies

  • Technical expertise in Active Directory Management, Nexthink, Main commodity Trading Platforms, Microsoft Windows & Office
  • Good organizational & communication skills
  • Fluent English (any other language a plus)
