Data Scientist – Permanent Role
📍 Dublin-based | Hybrid (3 days/week in office) | 💼 Python | SQL | Power BI | Snowflake
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Dublin-based team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with a strong technical foundation in data science and a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights.
As a Data Scientist, you will work across the full data science lifecycle—from data exploration and cleaning to model development, deployment, and monitoring. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy data science models with a focus on business relevance and scalability.
- Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), data cleaning, and feature engineering.
- Build and optimize predictive models using techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, and clustering (e.g., k-means).
- Develop deep learning models using tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow (e.g., for NLP or computer vision).
- Create impactful data visualizations using Seaborn or Matplotlib to support data storytelling.
- Automate data processing tasks using SQL (including window functions) and Python.
- Design reports and dashboards using Power BI, leveraging data from Snowflake and other sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify use cases, gather requirements, and communicate findings.
- Ensure proper documentation, testing, and monitoring of models in production environments.
🔧 Key Technologies
- Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Seaborn, Matplotlib, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- SQL (Advanced, including window functions)
- Power BI
- Snowflake
- MS Excel and other relevant data tools
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience automating manual processes using Python and SQL.
- Strong proficiency in developing machine learning models and deploying them into production.
- Experience working with multiple data sources and data warehouses.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong data presentation and storytelling capabilities.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
