We are currently recruiting for an interesting Application Architect role working for a major Belgian Federal Client based in Brussels, Belgium:

Duration: 13 months project + extensions

Location: Brussels (Hybrid Working- 2 days onsite per week)

Pay rate: Negotiable

The Client wishes to strengthen its application architecture team to help transform its "core business" information system (allocation, payment and communication) into smaller and isolated entities corresponding to the functional areas.

The domain and application architect has two complementary assignments:

• Member of the application architecture team where he brings up experience in the field to complete and evolve the overall architecture plan. He participates in the creation and formalization of architectural rules for the creation of applications. He is continuously trained on methods and technologies that can help the Client improve its information system.
• Architect of a domain for which he/she is responsible for the consistency of the architecture of the applications constituting this domain in relation to the rules defined by the application architecture team and at the IT level. He intervenes according to the needs of the field (definition of the architecture, coding, code review, technical coaching, advice to analysts, discussions with the business, etc.). He encourages and participates in experiments in his field.

The candidate will be judged on:

• Knowledge of the Java language and its ecosystem
• Ability to manage projects and tasks in an agile way
• Knowledge of the concepts of clean architecture and hexagonal architecture
• Ability to apply the concepts of clean architecture and hexagonal architecture to a real-world situation
• Modeling capabilities with the C4 and archimate languages
