Full Stack Developer (remote/Helsinki/Joensuu)

Arbonaut is a technology company providing Geographic Information Systems for managing natural resources, especially forests, worldwide. Our customers are private and public organizations on all continents. We employ around 80 people from more than 15 different countries. 

What types of job opportunities do we offer? 

In your position as a Full Stack Developer you will be part of a project or product team and help us to maintain and improve our existing services, in addition to planning and implementing new services for our customers. You are responsible for developing quality solutions that bring value for our clients. 

What type of candidate are we looking for? 

We’re looking for a motivated application development professional to join our team—someone who takes initiative and is comfortable working independently. Strong collaboration skills and a true team-player mindset are essential to us. Fluency in English is required, as it is our working language, but proficiency in Finnish is considered an asset. 

Other keys to success in this role include: 

• 6+ years of experience in application development (backend and front end) 
• 4+ years of experience from developing native cloud applications in Azure cloud 
• Experience with Azure Container Apps, Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines 
• Experience in developing containerized microservices 
• Experience in Java / SpringBoot and Rust development 
• Experience in React frontend development 
• Understanding of basic concepts of Geographic Information management and Geographic Information Systems 
• Experience in API development and integrations 

We also appreciate if you have experience in: 

• GIS related opensource solutions such as GeoServer, Mapserver, OpenLayers 
• developing native cloud applications in Amazon Web Services 
• CI/CD pipelines 
• test automation 
• other development languages
