Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer

Location: Manassas, VA (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our DevOps practices. This role will focus on building scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and CloudBees CDRO, managing cloud infrastructure, and enabling seamless software delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in Python and Java, and a passion for automation, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and CloudBees CDRO.
Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
Develop automation scripts and tools using Python and Java to support DevOps workflows.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies across engineering teams.
Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance are integrated into DevOps processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and CloudBees CDRO.
Proficiency in Python and Java for scripting and automation.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps tools.
