Senior Windows Engineer

We’re looking for an IT System Engineer (Windows/Linux) (m/f) to join our client in Luxembourg.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility, aligned with current legislation

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English. French - preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Windows servers, including directory services and group policies
• Manage virtualization (e.g., VMware) and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Oversee network setups (DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and secure infrastructure with PKI and encryption protocols
• Handle storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup strategies, including cloud-based recovery
• Use scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, etc.) for automation
• Monitor performance and availability using tools like Prometheus, Splunk, or Zabbix
• Support SQL-based databases and ensure system reliability through documented procedures
• Deploy containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Collaborate across teams and maintain relevant certifications.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years in a systems engineering or administration role within a similar enterprise setting
• Experienced in managing user access and domain services (e.g., Active Directory, GPOs)
• Proficient with both Windows and Linux server environments
• Skilled in server virtualization technologies such as VMware
• Familiar with PKI frameworks and secure communication protocols
• Strong understanding of networking essentials (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems, including SAN and NAS solutions
• Comfortable with hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and designing cloud-integrated architectures
• Knowledge of automation and provisioning tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
• Competent in backup/recovery strategies and business continuity planning
• Basic administration of SQL-based systems
• Experienced in system health monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Zabbix, Splunk)
• Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation tasks
• Familiar with DevOps tools and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes a plus)
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., MCSA, VCP, AWS Certified, Azure Administrator)
