Network Security Engineer

PROJECT

We are supporting our client in a long-term international project focused on network security optimization and the adoption of modern security technologies such as Zscaler, Guardicore, Illumio, and MACsec. The project involves both refining existing infrastructure and deploying new systems. You will join a coordinated delivery team covering development, operations, and consulting.

YOU WILL

• Optimize complex proxy PAC files and validate them across environments
• Develop and support NAC solutions (Cisco ISE)
• Troubleshoot and improve Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) infrastructure
• Plan and implement agent-based micro-segmentation (e.g., Illumio, Guardicore)
• Support the MACsec rollout in the data center/campus
• Handle firewall rule management, change reviews, and recertification
• Coordinate between internal teams, external providers, and customers
• Document and communicate technical decisions at both operational and management levels

MUST HAVE

• Experience in network security, routing, switching, DNS, and proxies
• Familiarity with tools like Cisco ISE, Zscaler, Illumio, Fortinet, and Check Point
• PAC-specific JavaScript, firewall rule set experience
• Strong communication and coordination skills (written/spoken – English & German (is a plus))

NICE TO HAVE

• Certifications: CCNP Security, CCIE, FCSS, CCSA/CCSE, Zscaler ZDTE, Illumio Core Specialist
• Experience in large-scale deployments (>1,000 workloads)
• Prior work with complex and security-critical environments
• Ability to act as a sub-project lead or coordinator
