Mid-Level Kotlin Backend Developer

We’re looking for a skilled Kotlin Backend Developer to join an international team working on a distributed ledger-based platform for the insurance industry. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and expanding a microservices-based backend built fully in Kotlin.

We’re looking for a skilled Kotlin Backend Developer to join an international team working on a distributed ledger-based platform for the insurance industry. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and expanding a microservices-based backend built fully in Kotlin.
✅ What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain Kotlin microservices
- Collaborate within a Scrum team: participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Take part in code reviews and propose architectural improvements
- Interact with RESTful APIs and smart contract logic
- Contribute to technical documentation and deployment processes
- 2+ years of commercial Kotlin experience or 3+ years of Java with strong willingness to transition to Kotlin
- Solid understanding of backend development (microservices, REST APIs)
- Familiarity with testing methodologies (unit & integration tests)
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of Distributed Ledger Technology or blockchain (Corda in particular)
- Experience with cloud environments (GCP preferred), Docker, or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with frontend tech (JS/React) is a plus for cross-functional collaboration
