Frontend Software Engineer

Protip UK is collaborating with an established U.S. healthcare technology provider to deliver a next-generation Patient Life Management (PLM) platform. We’re assembling a lean, high-impact product engineering team to transform complex healthcare data into clear, compassionate digital experiences, ultimately improving outcomes for patients and caregivers across the entire continuum of care.

Contract snapshot

• Rate: $30 USD per hour (independent-contractor basis).
• Duration: 3 months, full-time (≈ 40 h/week).
• Work style: 100 % remote; collaborate largely in UTC+2 – UTC+4 core hours.
• Eligibility: Based in Ukraine or Ukrainian-speaking and resident elsewhere in Eastern Europe, with the legal right to work as an independent contractor from your country of residence.

What you’ll do

• Lead front-end architecture for mobile-first and responsive web apps used by millions of patients and clinicians.
• Deliver accessible UIs that meet WCAG standards and stringent healthcare privacy requirements.
• Champion component-driven development, micro-frontends and performance optimisation.
• Integrate AI-driven personalisation and rich data visualisations (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).
• Mentor peers, run code reviews and help refine CI/CD pipelines.

What you bring

• 5 + years of commercial mobile-first development using React Native.
• Proficiency in React & TypeScript, plus deep expertise in HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript.
• Strong grasp of state-management patterns (Redux, Context API) and integration with RESTful APIs or Java Spring Boot back-ends.
• Track record of performance optimisation, cross-browser compatibility and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
• Hands-on experience with data-visualisation libraries and scalable design systems.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, FHIR and broader healthcare-compliance requirements.
• Ukrainian speaking with professional-level English, enabling seamless collaboration with global teams.
• Self-starter mindset—comfortable taking ownership in an agile, fast-changing environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform mobile frameworks.
• Experience with Vue.js or Angular.
• Automated testing frameworks and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
• Prior experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or patient management solutions is a significant advantage.
