About the Company

A Luxembourg-based AIFM is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead its compliance and AML/CTF framework.

This role may include acting as an interim RC (Responsable du Contrôle), overseeing regulatory compliance under AIFMD and CSSF regulations, and supporting the Conducting Officers and RR.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Advisory: Oversee the firm’s regulatory obligations under AIFMD, CSSF Circulars, and other applicable laws. This includes maintaining internal policies, advising senior management on evolving requirements, and preparing for inspections and audits.
• AML/CTF Oversight (RC Function): Design and maintain the AML/CTF control framework, conduct risk assessments (for AIFM and each AIF), lead transaction monitoring, and manage investor due diligence. You will regularly report to the RR and Board, liaise with the CSSF, maintain key registers, and ensure timely filing of SARs with the CRF.
• Monitoring, Testing & Reporting: Lead the development and execution of the annual compliance monitoring plan, investigate potential breaches, and ensure findings are reported appropriately. Regulatory filings (e.g., CSSF reports, FATCA/CRS, AML reports) will fall under your remit, along with supporting Board-level compliance reporting.
• Internal Governance & Training: Participate in governance committees (e.g., Risk, Valuation, Investment) is expected. You will also deliver staff training on relevant compliance topics including AML/CTF, market abuse, and data protection.
• Third-Party Oversight: Conduct due diligence and ongoing oversight of key service providers and delegates, ensuring their compliance frameworks meet both contractual and regulatory standards. An effective outsourcing oversight model will be part of your remit.
