Job Title: Senior Data & Analytics Developer – Financial Risk Domain
Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid)

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data & Analytics Developer to join our Corporate Functions Technology team. This role will focus on delivering solutions in the financial risk domain, including data analytics, regulatory reporting, and advanced insights using Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with operational risk stakeholders and other internal teams to drive key initiatives in financial risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with end users to gather, analyze, and document data and reporting requirements.
- Design and implement data analytics and BI solutions using Microsoft Azure and SQL Server.
- Build and manage OLAP and OLTP-based systems for data analytics and reporting.
- Prepare and optimize data models for Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Provide expertise and support in the use of middleware integration tools such as BizTalk.
- Lead and support solution delivery, including hands-on development, documentation (BRD), and testing.
- Collaborate with architects, data governance teams, AML stakeholders, and other internal IT groups.
- Provide guidance and support to offshore junior resources, acting as a senior technical mentor.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software development and data analytics.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies: SQL Server, Azure, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.
- Proven experience in building OLAP and OLTP systems for business intelligence and data analytics.
- Hands-on experience with middleware tools like BizTalk.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong soft skills: effective communication, stakeholder management, adaptability, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial risk management concepts and frameworks.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and data preparation for financial institutions.
- Background in banking, insurance, or other financial domains.
- Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative field is an asset.
