V&V Test Engineer – RISC-V Avionics Navigation Systems

We’re looking for a Verification & Validation Engineer to join our client's team in Tampere, working on RISC-V–based embedded avionics platforms used in modern aerospace navigation systems. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of critical real-time systems operating under strict regulatory conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute test plans for embedded systems powered by RISC-V architectures.
• Verify safety-critical software (navigation, communication, and flight control subsystems).
• Perform integration testing of hardware-software interfaces.
• Develop automated test environments using Python or C-based frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with DO-178C, RTCA standards, and fault-injection scenarios.

You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in embedded systems testing or V&V for safety-critical systems.
• Familiarity with RISC-V–based microcontrollers or SoCs.
• Proficiency in test scripting and automation tools (e.g., PyTest, VectorCAST).
• Strong debugging and fault isolation skills in real-time environments.
• Understanding of avionics standards and aerospace testing protocols.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in aerospace or defense systems.
• Knowledge of formal verification, model-based testing, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL).
• Exposure to requirements traceability tools (e.g., DOORS).
