System Solutions Manager

Position: Manager Systems Solutions – IT

Contract Information: One Year extendable

Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading the design and implementation of courier express operations systems, Operations systems, and logistics management systems, his role will be majorly focusing on alignment of system related processes across the company. The successful candidate will ensure seamless implementation across all key systems and ensure that new technology is delivered using the best practice’ Project Delivery Approach and that all projects are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.

As the Information Systems Manager, your role serves as the liaison between Operations, IT, and vendors to oversee and manage the design and implementation of leading systems and tools into the company and ensuring clear communication/alignment between the teams. The role will be key to defining and executing the delivery of technological solutions for new or existing operations and clients based on defined business processes and functional requirements.

The role is expected to provide strong leadership skills, and to promote best practices in managing interrelated projects to ensure successful delivery. Strong project management and organizational skills are fundamental, along with the ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• To Support IT Director in putting the strategies for the department.
• Manage and support Integration and implementation of new network and operations technology systems.
• Prepare process maps and flows for operational process for all systems and manage with IT & Systems Stream, Vendors and internal stakeholders the system process requirements for successful
• Manage the development of SOP manuals for all systems.
• Manage end to end Software Development Life Cycle using proper methodologies .
• Plan and manage all User Acceptance testing (UAT) and Pilot testing processes.
• Design and manage the implementation calendar, user training and rollout phases in sequence with vendors, IT & Systems and Operations.
• Provide subject matter expertise in development of system requirements and Concept of Operations.
• Participate in integration meetings with all stakeholders and internal / external project groups to determine and refine system requirements and specifications relative to integration mapping and product configuration.
• Partner with ops/engineering to translate Concept of Operations into solution configuration.
• Work with IS and Vendors to Configure applications based on solution design and Concept of Operations.
• Mange the Supports and training for all end users utilizing different systems e.g WMS, LMS, Systems.. etc.
• Ensures a clear and consistent implementation and UAT approach is in place to manage risk and execution schedule.
• Communicate with vendors/internal stakeholders regarding budgetary costing and other issues.
• Make recommendations on system enhancements; including working with vendors to achieve better system ROI including but not limited to management of subscription fees, licensing fees, software enhancements, updated or better configurations, system workarounds, etc.
• Mange on-site implementation and client interaction to ensure delivery of business requirements.
• Ensure monitoring of progress of all system implementations against all projects is timely and accurate.
• Ensure proper Application Security standards and coding practices are enforced and utilized.
• To put yearly KPI for the staff in the department and evaluate their performance.
• To support other departments in case they needed any support from IT department.
• Provide leadership and direction to the subordinates towards achievement of strategic business objectives.
• Ensure that the team is adequately staffed as per business requirements and allocate work to subordinates and ensure that subordinates are aware and familiar with assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Mentor and coach subordinates to develop their capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role.
• Establish the performance plans for direct subordinates; Monitor and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback.

Education & Qualifications Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Software, Logistics, Supply

• Chain or Business Management

• 7+ years industry experience inclusive of logistics

• systems including but not limited to Warehouse

• Management System (WMS), Order management

• systems, Last Mile Systems (LMS), and UPU systems etc.
