About the role:

A NSW state government department is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their team for an initial 6 month engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop a transformation roadmap aligned with business goals and clearly defined outcomes
• Business Requirements Definition: Support the product owner in defining functionality requirements and translating them into clear product specifications
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with multi-disciplinary teams to articulate and refine business requirements across technical and business stakeholders
• Product Owner Partnership: Undertake directed tasks and provide tactical support to the product owner in requirement management and delivery execution
• Reporting: Regular (weekly) updates to the Director on project status, highlighting areas requiring intervention.

Experience:

• Product Management: End-to-end product lifecycle management, roadmap development, and data-driven decision making
• Technical Knowledge: Modern development practices, and emerging technology trends
• Leadership Skills: Cross-functional team management and executive-level communication
• Change Management: Agile practices, change readiness communication and stakeholder alignment
