Senior Network Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Network Engineer or Architect to support the delivery of a cutting-edge capability within a major Defence program. This role is responsible for leading the design and integration of secure network solutions that underpin the sustainment and enhancement of an environment used by Defence stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the network components across a technically complex and security-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the network design, delivery, and implementation within a Defence project.
• Elicit and document system network requirements in accordance with Defence engineering standards.
• Design secure, scalable network architectures that meet performance, security, and integration requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across systems.
• Identify security design gaps and propose practical remediation strategies.
• Translate logical designs into physical network designs and produce detailed documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to implementation teams.
• Continuously improve engineering and delivery processes within the network domain.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience delivering network engineering outcomes within Defence environments.
• Strong understanding of Defence security frameworks, standards, and operational constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure networks aligned with system engineering methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• NV1 clearance is essential; NV2 preferred.
