As a Regulatory IT Advisor at MAQIT, you will play a key role in helping our clients ensure that their IT systems and processes meet the complex regulatory requirements governing the financial sector. You will work closely with leading institutions across Europe and beyond, translating regulatory obligations into actionable, technology-focused solutions.

In this role, you act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the ever-evolving landscape of compliance, data protection, and IT governance. You will assess their current systems, identify gaps, and support them in implementing controls that align with legal and regulatory frameworks such as the DORA Regulation, GDPR, or EBA Guidelines.

This is a client-facing, impact-driven role that combines technical insight with regulatory expertise. It is ideally suited for individuals who thrive at the intersection of technology, compliance, and strategic advisory, especially in high-stakes industries like banking and finance, where regulatory alignment is mission-critical.

• Act as a point of contact for customers regarding ICT regulatory compliance questions and concerns.
• Provide expert advice to customers on how the organization comply with relevant regulations (e.g., DORA, PSD2, GDPR).
• Assist customers in understanding their compliance obligations when using the organisation's products or services.
• Support customers during their internal or external audits by providing necessary compliance documentation and evidence.
• Produce outsourcing oversight reports ensuring customer compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the license application process of customers for Electronic Money and Payment institutions.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, webinars, or workshops to educate customers on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Support the Project Manager with administrative tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Law, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Certifications in regulatory compliance, IT security, or risk management (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, CISSP, CISA, CRISC) are highly desirable.
• 5+ years of experience in IT compliance, risk management, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or telecommunications is a plus.
• Proven track record of engaging with customers on compliance-related topics and supporting regulatory audits.
