Project Manager

We’re seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical, large-scale digital solutions for a major federal government transformation program. This is a technically focused role overseeing the end-to-end delivery of secure platforms, infrastructure, and mobile applications in a SAFe Agile environment.

Working closely with Agile delivery teams, technology SMEs, and implementation partners, you’ll be accountable for managing project planning, risk, compliance, and technical execution in a complex and high-assurance government setting.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical delivery across cloud infrastructure, mobile apps, enterprise platforms, cyber security, and system integration.
• Coordinating sprint-based delivery with internal Agile teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, RTEs).
• Managing external delivery partners and vendors to ensure scope, quality, and timeframes are met.
• Driving ICT change and release management processes, including cyber assessments and go/no-go readiness.
• Applying structured project governance, including risk management, reporting, and decision tracking.
• Championing DevOps and automation practices to support secure, reliable delivery.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• 8–10+ years’ experience delivering complex ICT system and application projects.
• Strong understanding of government delivery environments, including risk, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with SAFe Agile or other scaled agile delivery models.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple technical workstreams and lead structured project planning.
• Tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications (e.g. Diploma of PM, SAFe, PRINCE2).

The following experience will be highly regarded:

• Interest or experience in accessible design or inclusive digital services.
• Familiarity with public sector release/change management frameworks.
