Job Description
The Manager – Projects, Strategy & Planning is responsible for driving project governance and cross-functional planning within the Product Development & Design division. This role helps align projects with overall business goals, ensures effective execution, and supports leadership with meaningful insights and reporting. You’ll work closely with teams across the airline to track progress, set standards, and improve how strategic projects are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
The Manager – Projects, Strategy & Planning is responsible for driving project governance and cross-functional planning within the Product Development & Design division. This role helps align projects with overall business goals, ensures effective execution, and supports leadership with meaningful insights and reporting. You’ll work closely with teams across the airline to track progress, set standards, and improve how strategic projects are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Governance: Lead the setup and management of project frameworks, timelines, and reporting dashboards across the division
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure all ongoing projects are aligned with the business vision and PMO standards
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track KPIs and OKRs to evaluate project success and resource performance
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to coordinate timelines, risks, and deliverables
- Decision Support: Provide data-driven insights to leadership and support key business cases with clear documentation
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to planning and reporting processes across the portfolio
- Strong background in project governance, planning, and performance reporting
- Solid understanding of PM frameworks such as PMBOK, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile
- Confident working with KPIs, forecasting models, and risk assessments
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Project tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Able to manage multiple projects and drive consistency across teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Strategy, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project governance or strategic planning, preferably in a product, design, or transformation-led environment
- Candidates already based in Qatar and holding a valid QID are highly preferred
