Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Data Center Engineer to complete a one-time badging task, which is required to gain physical and compliance access to a secure data center facility. The engineer should have a strong background in IT infrastructure, networking fundamentals, and hands-on experience with data center environments. After successful completion of the badging process, the engineer will be eligible for future ticket-based assignments involving network troubleshooting, hardware support, and on-site diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend a scheduled badging appointment at a secure data center facility.
• Complete identity verification, security clearance, and compliance on boarding as required.
• Participate in orientation covering IT policies, access control, and on-site conduct.
• Obtain an access badge or credentials required for future entry into the data center.
• Review and acknowledge facility security protocols, including handling of network equipment and sensitive IT assets.
• Familiarize yourself with the standard operating procedures (SOP) and Statement of Work (SOW) for future tasks such as:
o Network switch/router diagnostics or replacement
o Break/fix hardware support
o Rack-and-stack of IT equipment
o Cabling or patch panel work
o Service ticket resolution and reporting
o Coordinate with onsite personnel to ensure proper check-in/check-out and documentation compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:
• 3–4 years of experience in a data center engineering or IT infrastructure support role
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including switches, routers, cabling, and hardware diagnostics
• Hands-on experience with enterprise IT hardware, racking, patching, or equipment replacement
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Experience working independently in secure or enterprise environments
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional in communication and task execution
