Network & Security Engineer

We are seeking a ''Network & Security Engineer'' for our IT team.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems or related fields

•Minimum 3 years of experience in Network - Security Administration position

•Technical knowledge and experience for implementing new network and system architectures and optimizing the current structures

•Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and firewall security in an inter-networking environment

•Experience of managing Firewall, VPN, Proxy, IPS / IDS, DLP, WAF, EDR,MDR , SIEM , NAC , PAM , Web and Email Security, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Scanner, cyber security products in hybrid structures

•Experience with Fortinet , Checkpoint , Forcepoint, Rapid7, Delinea

•Experience of Linux security, operating system log analysis

•Experience of architectural planning in related technologies

•Experience on Network Performance and Security Monitoring tools.

•Knowledge for the various WAN technologies

•Knowledge and implementation of the Information Security Standards

•Experience in the newly constructed facilities, datacenters, offices, buildings is a asset

•Careful, delicate and suspicious approach for the network and system security

•Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and solid problem-solving skills with proactive approach.

•Good command of English both written and spoken

•No restrictions for travelling both inside of Turkey and abroad temporarily

Responsibilities

•Analyzing the current and required structure of the network architecture and designing as required

•Coordinates with other offices any network changes or activities that could affect them

•Managing and maintaining the network, as well as network performance monitoring

•Developing a backup/disaster recovery plan for a network emergency

•Providing high quality of 1st and 2nd level support for network & security related issues and projects

•Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced party

•Being a strong and challenger member/leader for the related projects

•Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN boxes, Proxies etc. in order to deliver required high quality and security services.

•Implement firmware upgrades and vendor-supplied patches according to the plans periodically.

•Monitoring the devices which are under his/her responsibility

•Work with the vendors and service providers when required

•Performing preventative maintenances

•Analyse client IT environment, identify risks and evaluate controls

•Assess and implement information security management frameworks based on well-known industry standards (e.g. ISO27k, CCM, NIST, COBIT)

•Develop client Information Security strategy plans in alignment with business requirements using a risk-based approach

•Perform information security awareness training and training program development for clients

•Manage client expectations and program implementation plans attending stakeholders' needs using project management principles

•Keep up to date with the latest security trends and also applicable privacy laws that could have an impact on clients

•Advise on data security governance and solutions related to ISO27001, KVKK and GDPR

Act as enabler with clients that desire to move towards compliance status, especially under controls and requirements from the new general data protection regulation

•Translate the flow of personal data in accordance with the Privacy regulations based upon an enterprises business processes and IT systems

•Review his/her own work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance

•Documentation related to IT/ISMS policies, procedures and issues
