Senior Android Developer (Kotlin)

Location: Brussels

Hybrid: 2-3 days in the client´s office

Languages: Fluency in English (mandatory) and at least French or Dutch.

Candidates must possess a valid work permit for Belgium

About the Role

You will play a crucial role in building robust, high-performing Android applications that shape the future of our digital banking experience. ✅ What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of Android development experience (various Android SDK versions and libraries).
• Proven expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (Material 3 design system).
• Strong understanding of clean code principles and DDD (Domain-Driven Design).
• Hands-on experience with TDD, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Fortify).
• Proficiency in Git/SVN, Docker, and scripting with Groovy.
• Solid experience with RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and team-based development.
• Bonus: Knowledge of containerization and security tools.
• Agile mindset: A team player with openness, courage, respect, and commitment.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn—you see feedback as a tool for growth.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge requirements constructively.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and at least French or Dutch.

• Translate business requirements into high-quality, clean, and maintainable Kotlin code.
• Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Jetpack Compose and Material 3.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to connect Android applications with backend services.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app.
• Conduct unit and integration testing (TDD) to guarantee code robustness and reliability.
• Continuously improve code quality through refactoring, pair programming, and best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, providing feedback and ideas for team and process improvements.
