Project Manager

We are supporting a client in the energy sector on their search for a seasoned Business Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale GIS transformation programme.

This is a long-term contract opportunity based in Brussels.

About the Project

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a critical GIS replacement initiative. The programme involves migrating legacy geographical data systems, integrating with multiple master data platforms (including SAP), and managing cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers. The work sits at the intersection of business transformation, IT, and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple project tracks including data migration, technical platform configuration (ESRI), and system integration
• Ensure timely delivery of all project milestones in collaboration with external software vendors and internal departments
• Coordinate budgets, resources, stakeholder alignment, and change implementation
• Report to the programme manager and business owner

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 10 years' experience successfully delivering IT or business transformation projects
• Strong project management background, ideally with exposure to GIS platforms
• Degree in Engineering or IT-related discipline
• Solid understanding of project governance, methodologies (waterfall and/or hybrid), and stakeholder management
• Full professional fluency in English
• Strong command of Dutch or French; at least working knowledge of the other is an asset
• Excellent communication, coordination, and decision-making skills
• Experience in the energy sector is a plus
