Role overview:

We are supporting a federal client with delivering their cloud governance and enablement strategy, and the development of cloud landing zones, automation frameworks, and operational support models aligned with government security frameworks.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to play a crucial role in establishing the department’s cloud capabilities, which will focus on the implementation and management of cloud infrastructure, IAM, automation, security monitoring, and enterprise IT services.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Azure Landing Zones and Hub-Spoke architectures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM templates, and Terraform.
• Administer and secure Azure Active Directory, including Conditional Access, PIM, and B2B configurations.
• Manage enterprise identity integrations, SSO, OAuth, and SCIM provisioning.
• Support Azure networking, virtual machines, backup, automation, and system monitoring.
• Monitor and respond to security events, and ensure compliance with ASD Essential Eight and ISM security frameworks.
• Provide operational support for Microsoft 365 services

To be successful, you will have:

• Strong experience in Azure networking, virtual machines, identity and access, security hardening, automation, and cost management.
• Experience with system and application hardening
• Experience with M365 services.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining:
• Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM
• Azure Monitor, Key Vault, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud
• IaC tools: Bicep, ARM, Terraform
• Azure CLI, PowerShell, Runbooks
