IT Search has partnered with a well-established healthcare organisation undergoing a major digital transformation, with a multi-year roadmap that puts IT at the centre of patient care and operational excellence. As part of this growth, they’re hiring an Enterprise Architect to join the senior leadership team and help shape scalable, secure, and cloud-first technology solutions across clinical and business platforms.

This role offers a genuine opportunity to influence strategic decisions and steer architecture at group level. It’s well suited to an experienced Enterprise Architect or a senior technologist (e.g. Solutions Architect or Staff/Principal Engineer) looking to step into a broader leadership remit.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own and evolve enterprise-wide architecture roadmaps in line with business strategy
• Shape target state architectures across application, data, infrastructure and integration domains
• Provide architectural oversight and governance aligned with TOGAF or similar frameworks
• Guide cloud adoption (Azure/AWS), application modernisation, and secure system design
• Work closely with stakeholders across clinical, operational, and IT teams
• Play an active role in strategic planning and architectural review boards
• Mentor and support the growing internal architecture capability

Ideal background:

• Strong experience working with enterprise cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Solid foundation in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
• Exposure to modern dev environments (.NET, Java, Python)
• Experience across both bespoke systems and SaaS platforms
• Familiarity with healthcare IT standards such as FHIR or HL7
• Comfortable in regulated environments with strong SDLC and security awareness

This is a permanent position with a flexible hybrid setup (typically 1–2 days onsite in Kilkenny). A market-aligned salary is offered, alongside an excellent benefits package including bonus, private healthcare, pension and more.
