We are seeking a visionary and strategic Project Director / PMO Lead to drive the successful execution of large-scale cross-functional initiatives. In this senior-level position, you will oversee program governance, ensure delivery excellence, and align project outcomes with overall business goals. You’ll work across teams, providing leadership, structure, and strategic oversight.

This is a fully remote position open only to candidates based in Austria.

• Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) function, developing frameworks and best practices

• Oversee strategic planning, resource management, and budgeting across multiple projects

• Ensure consistent delivery standards, governance, and reporting processes

• Guide Project Managers and cross-functional teams toward successful execution

• Communicate project objectives, updates, and risks to executive stakeholders

• Monitor KPIs and deliverables to ensure alignment with business outcomes

• Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

• Based in Austria with valid work eligibility

• 8+ years of experience in project or program management

• Proven leadership in PMO, project governance, or portfolio management

• Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)

• Ability to manage stakeholder communication at senior and executive levels

• Experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, Asana, or equivalent

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills

• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP) a strong plus

• Fluency in English (German is a bonus)
