Software Engineer – PHP/Laravel

We’re looking for a talented and proactive Software Engineer to join our team. You’ll work across backend and frontend systems, developing new features, maintaining existing functionality, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and code quality.

You’ll collaborate closely with our product, QA, design, and operations teams to bring ideas to life, with a strong focus on delivering clean, maintainable code and high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support internal and external integrations.
• Implement and maintain integrations with third-party APIs, including Stripe for payment processing.
• Work with MySQL for database design, optimization, and management.
• Work with Redis for caching and optimized data storage.
• Build and maintain Dockerized development and deployment environments.
• Manage code repositories and workflows in Bitbucket with Git.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in technical discussions and architectural planning.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong experience in MySQL (queries, optimization, schema design).
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid frontend skills with Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Stripe API integration.
• Working knowledge of Redis for caching and data management.
• Experience using Docker for containerized environments.
• Proficient with Git and version control workflows (Bitbucket experience is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to code quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the healthcare industry or working with healthcare-related systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
