Context: Ditto-what?

Ditto is on a mission to revolutionize care by providing people the right info, in the right

format, at the right time.

Why?

Imagine your grandmother always bringing one of her children to the hospital, since she

does not fully grasp what has been said, let alone is she able to recall what's going on

when she comes home. Or going through ten different apps and hospital portals to

stitch together your medical history, in Latin. Healthcare systems are designed for the

providers, and leave people feeling like a passive and ill-understood patient. We think

this can and should be different, by putting you and your loved ones at the heart of

care.

What?

With Ditto. Our technology allows everyone to capture, explain, and share meaningful

interactions about health. Today, that is an AI-powered app that clarifies any healthcare

encounter and document. Soon, we grow towards a platform that allows you to keep

track of your own healthcare, invite loved ones to follow your care journey, and vice

versa. In short: we want to build the Polarsteps for Health.

Who?

A young yet turbo ambitious and experienced team, with little patience for the status

quo. We're driven by a shared mission and excited about building fast and purposefully.

Days after launch, we reached #1 healthcare app in the Netherlands and got covered by

15 newspapers. This was nice validation, but mostly proof that what we're trying to

You already know Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot aren’t just tools, they’re how you

ship better software, faster. You use AI to amplify your craft, not replace it. This isn’t

about generating code and hoping it works; it’s about writing exceptional software with

AI as your force multiplier. We are all uncovering new frontiers in technology, and you

enjoy actively exploring them with us.

You are an experienced professional who takes complete ownership of the mobile

development.

Package

You know the drill. All is up for debate, pending your experience. You help shape the

culture (e.g. fair use of holiday), and will share in any success of the company via equity.

Key Responsibilities

Lightning speed delivery

• Take responsibility for mobile applications implementation - iOS and

Android platforms.

• Design and implement tangible, practical applications (avoiding

over-engineering).

• Think along but also push back when our bold ambitions are technically

infeasible/harder than we naively think

Think secure

• Ensure that secure solutions are in place from day one.
• Apply best practices in security for coding.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks

proactively.

Product Collaboration

• Understand business needs behind each change in software.
• Work closely with product teams to translate business requirements into

robust technical solutions.

• Ensure flexible architecture, capable to survive significant pivots.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Expertise in native iOS and Android development and cross-platform tools.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup
• Proven ability to experiment with AI-native workflows
• Knowledge of (Dutch) healthcare system or regulated industry
