Our client is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Freelance) to join a high-impact team in Brussels. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust features for a Python/Django application supporting operational needs
• Collaborating within an Agile, on-premise team of five, contributing to both new feature development and ongoing maintenance
• Building and optimizing front-end interfaces using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability across all application layers
• Translating customer and business requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable impact
• Participating in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and version control using Git, GitHub, and GitLab
• Integrating APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and working with SQL databases
• Contributing to a culture of innovation, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement
• Working on-premise in Brussels at least 2 days per week (hybrid model)
• Ensuring compliance with security accreditation requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with confirmed expertise in Python and Django
• Strong front-end development skills with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with FastAPI and .NET is a plus
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and integrity best practices
• Hands-on experience with API development (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
• Familiarity with web servers such as Nginx or Apache is an advantage
• Proficiency in version control and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub, GitLab)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Software Development, IT, or related field
• Ability to obtain security accreditation
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and a proactive, detail-driven approach
• Innovative thinker with a passion for building solutions that matter

Language Proficiency

• English: Active professional proficiency required
• Dutch and/or French: Mastery of one national language preferred; passive understanding of the other required

Other Requirements

• Hybrid work model: On-site presence in Brussels required 2 days per week
• Agile project environment
• Ability to obtain security accreditation
• Freelance contract: 4 months
