WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

You will have an amazing opportunity to work with an experienced and constantly growing team. Your first project in Avalanche Labs will be in the Banking sector. As an IT Service Delivery & Cloud Transition Consultant you would join an ongoing finance reporting transformation stream.

This is a hands-on consulting role where your deep experience in cloud migration, service delivery, documentation, and operational excellence will make a real impact. You will work at the very heart of mission-critical financial applications and services - supporting continuity, resilience, and performance across the Baltics.

DO YOU HAVE...

🚀 5+ years of experience managing IT service delivery in enterprise environments, ideally within banking, finance, or critical service areas.

🚀3+ years of proven Cloud transition experience - planning, leading, and supporting migration of applications and services to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or private cloud).

🚀Strong incident & problem management expertise - including coordination of critical incidents, post-mortem/root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.

🚀Excellent documentation skills - keeping IT documentation (system architecture, recovery plans, continuity planning, user manuals) updated and audit-ready.

🚀Experience managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) - including creation, performance tracking, and compliance reporting.

🚀Stakeholder communication skills - ability to run regular service status reviews, lead discussions with security, architecture, and product owners.

🚀Basic financial literacy in IT budgeting - supporting cost-effective service delivery and reporting.

🚀Fluency in English - both written and spoken - as the working environment is Pan-Baltic and international.

NICE TO HAVE...

✨ EExposure to regulatory reporting or finance reporting domains.

✨Experience working with security vulnerability management and coordinating security remediation plans.

✨Familiarity with DevOps practices, service monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk), or ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.

✨Experience in leading service audits and compliance reviews.

✨Solid understanding of end-of-day (EOD), end-of-week (EOW), and end-of-month (EOM) system operation cycles.
