We’re looking for an Avaloq Developer (m/f) to join our client in the banking sector.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English. French (beneficial).

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Avaloq development, preferably in financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of Avaloq parameterization and scripting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Experience in integrating Avaloq with general ledger and external financial systems.
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling.
• Regulatory Reporting with Wouter Klouver or another tool.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Avaloq certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Avaloq Core Banking modules with a focus on accounting and financial reporting.
• Customize and configure Avaloq modules related to GL accounting, P&L statements, financial controls, and reconciliation.
• Develop Avaloq scripts (e.g., PL/SQL, Avaloq Script) and parameterizations aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure accurate mapping between banking operations and accounting entries.
• Support monthly and year-end financial closings through system enhancements and issue resolution.
• Optimize and automate financial reporting and audit workflows.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment of Avaloq changes in accordance with development standards and change management protocols.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues related to accounting modules.
• Stay current on Avaloq releases and regulatory changes affecting financial systems.
