Senior Division Manager – Legal Operations

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

We are leading a confidential search for a senior legal professional to join a highly respected international financial institution headquartered in the GCC. This is a senior leadership role within the Legal Department, responsible for overseeing legal operations and providing strategic advice to support the organisation’s mandate in global trade finance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Legal Operations Division and provide legal advice across international trade finance activities.

Oversee contracts, financing agreements, and cross-border transactions to ensure compliance and minimise legal risk.

Manage and mentor a diverse legal team, setting strategic direction and ensuring capability development.

Advise senior leadership on legal issues, risks, and opportunities that impact organisational strategy.

Work collaboratively across departments to ensure trade activities meet legal and regulatory standards.

Build and maintain relationships with external legal partners, trade organisations, and multilateral bodies.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Law from a reputable European or North American institution (LLM preferred).

Minimum 9 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong expertise in trade finance, international business law, and cross-border transactions.

Fluency in English is essential; Arabic or French highly desirable.

International exposure and cultural fluency, with the ability to operate effectively across jurisdictions and diverse teams.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
