Job Description:

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong expertise in legacy and modern programming languages. The ideal candidate will work on maintaining and enhancing critical backend systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance for financial and payment-related applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using COBOL (mandatory) and other programming languages.
• Optimize existing codebases to improve efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with payment platforms.
• Ensure reliability and security of backend applications, particularly in financial transaction processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Technical Skills (Mandatory):

• Proficiency in COBOL, C++, and C
• COBOL expertise is mandatory
• Experience with Java is a significant advantage
• Familiarity with HP Non Stop systems
• Experience working with payment systems (e.g., Visa/Mastercard)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
