This role involves creating a set of functional 3D animations for a small game project. The character is a rigged Godzilla model, and the animations will cover a wide range of in-game actions, from movement and combat to special abilities. Quality is not the primary focus for this project; instead, the requirement is that animations work seamlessly within the game engine and support core gameplay functionality. This is a single freelance assignment with a defined scope and delivery deadline.
Deliverables
- Rigged character animation set for Godzilla model, including but not limited to:
- Walk, run, idle, jump, land, fall
- Jump attack, claw attacks (left and right), bite attack
- Laser eyes, radioactive action, roar
- Fly cycle and portal drag/eject sequence
- Weapon-based actions (grab, carry, shoot, place on back)
- Squashed and hit reaction states
- Animations must be compatible with standard game engine import/export pipelines
- Ensure smooth rig handling and transitions between core animations
- Delivery of all animations within one week, by September 1, 2025
Requirements
- Proficiency with 3D animation software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max
- Experience animating rigged models for games
- Ability to create functional, game-ready animations within short timelines
- Basic understanding of animation loops, transitions, and export formats for real-time applications
- Reliable communication and adherence to delivery deadlines
- Remote availability, with capacity to complete the project independently
