This is an exciting opportunity to join a major Federal Government program delivering innovative, large-scale ICT solutions to modernise scheme and payments platforms. The program is focused on uplifting core technology capabilities and delivering secure, scalable, and fit-for-purpose systems that will have a lasting impact on service delivery for Australians.


As Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of technical components across a complex transformation program. Working closely with product owners, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams, you will oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle – from solution planning, scheduling, and governance through to implementation and release management. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, the ability to manage technical dependencies, and a proven track record delivering outcomes in large-scale agile environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and technical solution delivery across multiple ICT streams.
  • Manage delivery partners and internal teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements, security standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee release planning, change management, and compliance activities.
  • Apply agile and DevOps principles to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, while providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture and drive continuous improvement.


Ideally you will have the following:

You will bring 8–10 years’ experience delivering large-scale ICT projects in complex environments, ideally within Federal or State Government. Your background includes hands-on project management across mobile applications, platforms, and enterprise technology, with expertise in contemporary governance frameworks and agile methodologies. You hold relevant tertiary qualifications and industry-recognised certifications such as Diploma of Project Management or SAFe Agile. Experience in accessibility-focused projects will be highly regarded.


This role will be offered as an initial 12 month contract + view to extend.
