Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – IoT & Smart Devices (Hybrid, Gothenburg, Sweden)

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen the security of next-generation IoT and smart device platforms. In this role, you’ll design and implement embedded security features that protect millions of connected devices, ensuring reliability and trust at scale.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement security features for IoT devices, including secure boot, encryption, and authentication.
• Perform security threat modeling, risk assessments, and penetration testing of embedded systems.
• Integrate cryptographic libraries and ensure compliance with industry security standards.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and cloud teams to define end-to-end security requirements.
• Investigate vulnerabilities and implement mitigations across IoT communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP).
• Support certification and compliance efforts (ISO 27001, ETSI EN 303 645, or similar).

What you bring:

• 3+ years of experience in embedded security engineering, preferably in IoT or connected device development.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, key management, and secure communication protocols.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded platforms (ARM Cortex or similar).
• Hands-on experience with secure bootloaders, Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), or HSMs.
• Familiarity with penetration testing tools and methodologies for IoT devices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
