What are you going to do as Junior Data Scientist?

Do you want to use your data skills for advising media companies on their path to the future in the DACH region? Do you want to make a real impact with data? Then you're right with us.

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will drive challenging data projects forward together with your project team. You will immediately work with real data and critical problems of our customers. Typical examples include developing recommendation systems, text classification, and churn prediction.

Your clients will be based in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) but your Highberg office will be Amsterdam. So take in mind that you will have to travel for client work to the DACH region and to the Highberg office in Hamburg.

Your work as Junior Data Scientist at #Highberg

You will work for one or more renowned media companies. Together with your Highberg DACH colleagues you will combine our know-how in strategy, organization and data science. The projects revolve around these topics strategies for digital growth, modern and efficient organizations and innovative data science applications.

In data projects, you will demonstrate expertise in developing algorithms, ETL pipelines, or data lakes. You will work together with our customers on an interdisciplinary basis. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing technical solutions for our clients' professional challenges;
• Building ETL processes, data warehouses, and data models;
• Visualizing and preparing results, as well as deriving action recommendations;
• Developing and optimizing machine learning models;
• Deploying in cloud systems and supporting practical tests.

What are we asking?

• You have just graduated (master degree) or PhD in a quantitative field, e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Data Science;
• Eligible to work in the EEA without the need for visa sponsorship;
• Proficient in English and German language (at least C1 level);
• Available for ≥ 4 days a week and living in the Netherlands;
• Analytical skills, thinking in data and structures;
• Experience in Python or other programming languages;
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms;
• Ability to understand complex problems and develop solution approaches with data and algorithms
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
