The Role:

• We are seeking a Business Analyst to join a critical project team at one of the Depository Banks in Luxembourg.
• This project is focused on implementing CR797, which allows for an alternative settlement location for Euro securities.
• You will play a key role in analyzing and documenting the complex settlement flows required for this initiative.
• This is a hands-on position that requires a strong understanding of securities settlement, business analysis, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and Document Settlement Flows: Describe the settlement process for securities that cannot be settled solely via T2S, specifically between the E Clearing account at the alternative settlement location (E) and the clearing member's account at C. This includes mapping settlement flows and detailing SSI (Standard Settlement Instructions) information.
• Support Strategic Implementation: Assist in defining the strategy for holding a portion of securities in E as an alternative settlement location, while the primary settlement remains with another CSD, leveraging the functionality of CR797.
• Document Country-Specific Rules: Identify and document settlement combinations for countries that do not permit direct settlement in T2S.
• Define Realignment Rules: Establish clear rules for realignment triggers, such as LACK (Lack of securities) or other economic reasons.
• Draft and Document Procedures: Draft procedures for manual realignment and create business requirements for the automation of this process.
• Support System Configuration: Assist with the setup in Cascade and T2S to enable the new alternative link.
• Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with the Settlement Cluster to understand flow specifics and engage with subject matter experts to grasp the rationale behind realignment triggers.
• General Documentation: Document any additional procedures or issues as needed throughout the project.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Securities Settlement Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of securities settlement flows.
• T2S Knowledge: Good understanding of the T2S (TARGET2-Securities) platform.
• Business Analysis: Proven business analysis skills, with experience in documenting complex processes and requirements.
