I've partnered with a Software Company in Dublin looking to expand their team and hire a QA Engineer. You will be joining a growing SQA team that tests their products and technical product developments. Strong knowledge of testing processes and tools is essential. Performing Manual Testing will be the initial requirement with an aim to improve our automated testing capability in the next year to reduce the need for manual testing in the future.

I've a budget of €60-65k to work with on this role.

Job Responsibility:

• Working in an Agile environment
• Establishing test strategies and designing test plans and cases
• Executing functional, non-functional, regression and integration test scripts;
• Manual, API and Automation testing, focusing on Automation more as refine out processes
• Providing metrics for all testing activities including planning, preparation, execution, defects
• A good working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.

• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proactive, willingness to take the initiative and associated responsibility.

Essential

• ISTQB Foundation Level
• Computer Science or IT related degree
• 5+ years experience in testing
• 2+ years experience with automation
• Coding skills
• Knowledge of MySQL scripting
• Postman
• Ability to interpret user requirements, detailed technical and functional specifications and apply this information to plan, develop and execute test scenarios and scripts

Technologies:

• Front End: TypeScript, Reach and Nextjs
• Back End: Golang, JSON APIs and MySQL

Tools:

• Playwright
• XRAY or other defect repository / test planning applications
• Jira or other project software
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as SoapUI or Postman
• JMeter or other performance testing tools
