About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is primarily remote, based in London, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of our client's Android application. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining features for the Android version of the app, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for millions of users across England.
As part of a multidisciplinary team comprising technology, design, business, product, infrastructure, and testing professionals, you will play a vital role throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, performant, and well-documented features that align with best practices and industry standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development, with a strong command of Kotlin and Android Studio. Familiarity with SOLID principles, clean code practices, and performance optimization techniques is essential. Additionally, experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and troubleshooting/debugging is highly desirable. Knowledge of mobile analytics, Jetpack Compose, native OS features, and RESTful API integration will set you apart.
You should be proactive, collaborative, and passionate about staying updated with the latest Android trends and best practices. A solid grasp of memory management, concurrency handling, and experience with tools like Gradle will also be important for success in this role.
