Senior Java Developer

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (on-site)

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours per week)

Salary: Up to 410 SEK/h

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll act as a go-to expert within the team - supporting colleagues, guiding design decisions, and contributing to the continuous development of complex Java-based systems. You’ll balance working with new features and maintaining legacy code, ensuring long-term stability and usability.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

• Develop, maintain, and optimise applications using Java (with a focus on Java Swing).
• Take ownership of important design decisions and system architecture aspects.
• Support and mentor team members by sharing expertise and best practices.
• Quickly adapt to and work effectively with complex and legacy codebases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Contribute ideas to improve usability and overall UX design.
  
  

You'll be successful if you have

• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Java Swing (preferred).
• Strong programming skills with the ability to make critical design decisions.
• Ability to work independently, while also being a supportive team player.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to take on challenges.
  
  

Nice to have

• Experience in database development.
• Interest or skills in user-friendliness and UX design.
