Clarvo is recruiting on behalf of a client, a leading e-commerce platform. The company is dedicated to leveraging data to promote ethical consumerism and optimize its environmentally-conscious supply chain. They are currently seeking a talented Data Scientist to join their innovative team.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position for a mid-level Data Scientist operating on a hybrid work model. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying sophisticated machine learning models to personalize customer experiences, forecast fashion trends, and improve inventory management. Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning, processing, and analyzing large, complex datasets, designing and interpreting A/B tests, and presenting findings to key stakeholders. You will work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to translate data insights into actionable business strategies and contribute directly to the company's data-driven culture.

What You'll Bring

You are a proactive and analytical individual with a passion for using data to solve real-world problems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning, coupled with excellent communication skills.

• A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a data science or machine learning role, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and its core data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Demonstrable experience writing complex and efficient SQL queries to manipulate large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is strongly preferred.
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Full professional proficiency in English or Finnish is essential for this role.
