Flat, created by Tutteo Ltd. is an online music notation technology that empowers music enthusiasts to create, learn and share music scores, tabs, and lead sheets.

We believe that the old-fashioned sheet music industry has come to a point where it needs to be renewed. Through Flat and our different products, we define a new way to write, teach and consume written music.

We're hiring a full-time Senior Product Designer to focus on the Flat product. You will be the sole designer working in it. You will be entrusted to work on the next version of our music notation software.

Introduction

You will be joining a radical team of doers, fully distributed. All founders are developers, we believe in the power of good products. We have launched to date 4 growing and profitable products, gathering an active and engaged community of more than 6M users:

• Flat: our music score editor with web and mobile versions.
• Flat for Education: our music teaching platform aiming at making music education playful and engaging.
• Music Snippet: our music score add-ons for Google Docs and Google Slides.
• Flat Embed: our music score technology available for everyone to use.

What you will do

As a Senior product designer you will be responsible to

• Own the overall product design and design processes; from initial discovery and user journey mapping through to the execution of the final UI.
• Be responsible of multiple deep rework of the platform.
• Help your teammates improving their design skills
• Collaborate with all teams to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities throughout the product and draw a realistic roadmap.
• Understand our users, their challenges and how we can best solve them in our products
• Tirelessly simplify and distill complex actions and flows into intuitive and elegant UIs.
• Maintain and improve our design system.

What we want from you

• Full professional proficiency in English
• Have music theory knowledge to understand technical terms.
• Up to date portfolio that reflects your experience and emphasises your skills
• Solid B2C experience designing complex mobile apps and web applications
• You are up to date with the latest mobile updates and trends in design, UX patterns, and technical limitations/ opportunities
• Solid experience carrying out designs from hypothesis, user journeys, prototypes, etc, through iterative testing and fast shipping
• Experience creating and maintaining Design Systems
• Experience working with cross‐functional teams
• Experience working in product companies (not a web / mobile agency)
• Working knowledge and great organization practices in Figma
• You are user-obsessed and product-centric.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
• You are passionate about music and believe that the sheet-music industry can use a change
