Our client is a rapidly expanding SaaS company recognised as an innovator in the FinTech space. They have a product used by thousands globally and are now continuing to grow out their mobile team.


They are seeking a highly skilled Mid-to-Senior React Native Engineer to join their dynamic Sydney-based product team. This is a critical, high-impact role where the successful candidate will work on the mobile application experience for their flagship product. This is not just a feature role; it's about architectural contribution and driving mobile best practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Architect & Build: Design, develop, and maintain robust, reusable, and high-performance React Native applications for both iOS and Android platforms.


  • Drive Quality: Implement unit/integration tests and manage the mobile continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure stability and rapid releases.


  • Collaborate: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers in an Agile environment to translate concepts into seamless user experiences.


  • Optimise: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth, five-star experience for end-users.


  • Mentor: Contribute to technical decision-making, guide architectural discussions, and share knowledge to elevate the team's mobile development standards.


Key Skills and Experience Required

  • 4 + years of software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years dedicated to developing and deploying production-ready applications using React Native.


  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), modern React (Hooks), and a strong understanding of state management.


  • Demonstrated experience with the entire mobile application lifecycle, from development to deployment on the App Store and Google Play.


  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Detox.


Nice to have's:

  • Previous experience in a SaaS or high-growth product company.
  • Exposure to native module development using Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools (e.g., Fastlane, Microsoft App Center, GitHub Actions).
