About the Role

We’re seeking a UI/UX Designer (Freelance) to join our client’s team in Brussels for a 6-month mission. This is your opportunity to shape digital experiences that bridge user intent and business goals, delivering innovative, intuitive, and visually compelling solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Translate concepts from concept designers into high-quality, intuitive user flows and visually engaging screens
• Own the digital user flow from a UX/UI perspective, ensuring every path and state is optimized for user goals
• Gather input from stakeholders to balance user needs with technical feasibility
• Draw inspiration from best-in-class digital experiences, both within and beyond the financial sector
• Establish clear, intuitive information hierarchies at the screen level
• Design high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback from usability testing
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated UX copywriter to seamlessly integrate content
• Contribute actively to the UX/UI Community of Practice, sharing knowledge, co-creating standards, and inspiring peers
• Lead the refinement phase and support concept designers during ideation with visual input
• Deliver pixel-perfect prototypes and screens, hand over to development squads, and follow up on implementation with front-end developers

Technical Skills

• Mobile First mindset with strong experience in mobile native design
• Deep understanding of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines
• Proficient in Figma, Zeplin, and other leading design tools
• Experienced with design systems: consuming, creating, and improving components
• Knowledge of component properties is a plus
• Solid grasp of accessibility standards (WCAG) and their impact on design and development
• Ability to document work and develop clear briefs for researchers and developers
• Understanding of the technical impact of design decisions; front-end development experience is a plus

Language Proficiency

• Fluent in French or Dutch (C1 level) — ideally, one is your native language
• Strong command of English (B1/B2 level) — both written and spoken
