About the Role

We’re seeking a Front End Developer (Freelance) to join our client’s ambitious SACHA project — a transformative initiative to revolutionize agricultural management accounting across Europe. This is a 9-month freelance opportunity based in Belgium, where your expertise will directly impact the digital backbone of the agricultural sector, empowering farmers, policymakers, and researchers with actionable insights and robust data.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and developing modular, high-performance front-end components using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Implementing a unified journal and central stock management system for complex agricultural workflows
• Building and integrating import/export modules to connect with diverse external data sources
• Collaborating with the agile team to experiment with and enhance an automatic table, view, and page generation framework
• Ensuring advanced role and access management, workflow automation, and traceability of user actions
• Contributing to a secure, GDPR-compliant environment in line with SPW Digital standards
• Participating in the development and execution of data recovery scripts and unit tests
• Driving quality through testing frameworks and continuous integration pipelines
• Engaging in effective, pragmatic collaboration with cross-functional teams

Technical Skills

• Confirmed expertise in Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with design systems for consistent UI/UX
• Solid understanding of software architecture and accounting principles
• DevSecOps mindset with hands-on experience in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Spring Boot APIs
• Knowledge of application security best practices (OWASP)
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress)
• Basic familiarity with Jira & Jira Xray

Other Requirements

• Proven experience in Agile and Scrum environments
• Autonomous, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within agile teams
• Ability to adapt and contribute to evolving frameworks and project needs
• Partial remote work possible; presence in Belgium required

Language Proficiency

• Professional proficiency in French required
